A thought leader is an authority figure in a specific field. They are known for their deep knowledge and insights and for shaping people's thoughts about a particular topic or industry.

Here's a breakdown of what being a thought leader entails:

  • Expertise: Thought leaders are established experts with a proven track record in their field. They stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments.

  • Ideas & Insights: They don't just regurgitate information; they generate original ideas, provide unique perspectives, and offer insightful analysis.

  • Influence: They influence the way others think about a subject. They spark conversations and debates, and their ideas are valued and respected.

Now, let's incorporate these three things into our LinkedIn journey.

  • Create daily posts on your niche and share valuable insights from your industry.

  • Write articles once a month to build credibility with your community. It can provide detailed insights into one subject.

  • Participate in LinkedIn audio events and host LinkedIn lives to improve visibility and let others know about your subject expertise.

  • Create unique posts using carousels, images, and GIFs. Try new ways of presenting your knowledge to the community.

  • Write case studies on your work. Share what worked and what didn't during the experimentation stage of a project.

  • Be vocal about your perspectives, challenge the norm, and bring fresh ideas.

  • Become a leader in a particular niche and be known for that one thing.

  • Show the results of your work so others can quote you as an example of success in that particular niche.

  • Be consistent with your efforts and show up daily. This will help others trust you more and increase your visibility.
